Who What Wear

WHO: Hanneli Mustaparta
WHAT: Perusing the Pamela Love F/W 12 presentation last Friday.
WEAR: Hanneli Mustaparta might arguably be the most photographed person at NYFW, and it’s easy to see why. Whether she’s sporting a bare-midriff ensemble or the most amazing pastel blue coat, the blogger/photographer/model consistently executes the latest trends in new and exciting ways. So what was our favorite look of the week? The mix of cool blue hues she wore to the Pamela Love presentation! Mustaparta skillfully melded the edgier spirit of her cobalt blue Acne bomber jacket and Tabitha Simmons boots with the elegant vibe of her Alexander Wang Lydia Clutch ($460, available here in black) and Miu Miu gingham earrings. And for that, we must praise this tastemaker!

WHO: Rachel Zoe
WHAT: Supporting Marc Jacobs at his F/W 12 show on Monday.
WEAR: It doesn’t matter if she’s working backstage to put on her first-ever runway show or sitting front row, Rachel Zoe is always dressed to impress. At the Marc Jacobs F/W 12 show, the stylist/designer/yummy mummy was the epitome of high glamour in an emerald green drop-waist dress by the designer and a faux goat hair coat, which rested luxuriously on her shoulders, from her own F/W 12 collection. A smattering of elegant black accessories, including Christian Louboutin heels and a Hermes clutch gave her evening ensemble a sophisticated finish.

WHO: Amanda Brooks
WHAT: Spotted at the Alexander Wang F/W 12 show on Saturday.
WEAR: As the Women’s Fashion Director of Barneys New York, Amanda Brooks has access to some of the most covetable clothing and accessories on the market, which, in conjunction with her expert styling skills, inevitably leads to sophisticated, effortlessly chic outfits. This time around, she won our affection with a smart mix of relaxed separates-specifically a Celine oversized striped button-up worn untucked with a pair of distressed J. Crew jeans-which she polished off with an olive green Balmain coat and Proenza Schouler’s PS11 Mini Classic Bag ($1675) in Saddle. The result: a front row-worthy look we’re dying to emulate.

WHO: Jenna Lyons
WHAT: Hanging out before the Altuzarra F/W 12 show on Saturday.
WEAR: Leave it to J. Crew President/Creative Director Jenna Lyons to construct what might easily be the week’s best transitional ensemble. The cozy getup seamlessly interweaved cold-weather essentials, including an Altuzarra parka and slim Ann Demeulemeester leather pants, with a few spring must-haves, like a J. Crew denim jacket and Proenza Schouler’s neon PS11 Mini Bag ($1675). We think the final result was pitch-perfect, don’t you agree?
